Curbside Recycling in Carriage Crossing:
Cardboard, paperboard , magazines, paper, plastic bottles and containers.  NO plastic bags.  Break down all boxes and store within container, if possible.  Otherwise, stack near recycling container.
Yard Waste – from April 1st through December 31st.  This includes live Christmas trees, so plan accordingly!  Bundle branches with twine, length no longer than 4’.  All leaves and clippings must be bagged in lawn waste paper bags.  Our contract stipulates no limit as to the number of bags to be left at the curb.
 
Plastic Bags, such as shopping bags, sandwich bags, bread sacks, paper towel packaging, etc.:
Target, Wal-Mart, Hen House, Best Buy, etc.
 
Paint, oils, solvents:
JoCo household hazardous waste facility, by appointment.  Make appointment online, or call 913-715-6900 to schedule.
 
Batteries:
Rechargeable:
   O.P. Recycling Center – 119th and Hardy
   Best Buy – any location
Non-rechargeable: JoCo Household hazardous waste facility, by appointment.  Make appointment online, or call 913-715-6900 to schedule.
 
CFL light bulbs:
O.P. Recycling Center – 119th and Hardy
Home Depot kiosk – any location.
 
Scrap metal:
O.P. Recycling Center – 119th and Hardy.
 
Laser and Ink Cartridges:

Best Buy kiosk – any location
 
Electronics, including games and gadgets, cameras:

TV’s and Computer Monitors:
Best Buy - $25 per TV/monitor
